A luridly lit stalactite inside Reed Flute Cave Guilin Guangxi province southwest China
The famous and spectacular jagged peaks of southwest China are a mass of limestone that underground have been massively eroded by water. Around the city of Guilin, the capital of Guangxi province and at the heart of this limestone landscape, are a number of caves that have been made accessible to visitors. A massive stalactite in one of these, called Reed Flute Cave, is shown in this image, luridly lit with blue lighting.
