A Brazilian angler hooked a Long-whiskered catfish with his cane stick, used as a fishing rod and a piece of wire with an attached hook in his boat. For bait, a piece of fresh beef was attached to the hook. The Piranha fishing took place on the Mutum river ( Rio Mutum) in the Pantanal in Brazil The Pantanal is the world’s largest wetland of 42 million acres covering parts of two neighbouring countries, Bolivia and Paraguay. Brazil has the largest area of this pristine ecosystem. This vast region attracts much tourism for its abundance of wildlife, flora and rainforests which generates a lot of income into the local economy.
