Belmond British Pullman headed by 35028 Clan Line speeds through a Reigate cutting on its lunchtime circular tour of Surrey


Belmond British Pullman steams through Reigate on its circular tour of Surrey on Friady 23rd January 2015. Starting and finishing at London Victoria the train passed through Twickenham, Woking, Guildford, Shalford, Reigate, Redhill and East Croydon stations before returning to London Victoria abou four and a half hours later. The locomotive 35028 Clan Line is a 4-6-2 Merchant Navy Class Pacific and was built at Eastleigh, Hampshire, first seeing service in December 1948. Clan Line will be taken out of service for an overhaul ,starting in July 2015 when it will be replaced by A1 locomotive 60163 Tornado. The coaches used in this Pullman steam special are in the traditional umber and cream livery with gold lettering.
