Then skirting the sea round Pearsalls Hill,into Fairfield, we visited the grave of George T. Solley, andthen we turned towards home. Here we found Edwardswife awaiting us, together with a splendid dinner, and therector of St. Pauls Episcopal church and his wife were thereto honor the occasion. T SPENT the rest of the week of May 25, 1909, with Edward-*- Morgan and his wife at Bridgeport, Connecticut. Wecrowded the days full, visiting places connected with theSolley family and their descendants, and talking about thetraditions in which we were both so much interested. I donot here give a detailed account of the events of this memor-able week—they would fill a book—but simply record frommy notes the things which are of value in my search for anancestor. On Wednesday morning, May 26, we started out on along tour with the automobile to see as many places as pos-sible connected with the Solley family.
