American and French observers on the captured hill of Montfaucon reporting on the impact of artillery fire on a nearby woods during World War One. Montfaucon was taken by the Americans within the first 24 hours of the fight, a significant achievement similar to the capture of Mont Sec in the St. Mihiel Salient.
