Brig. Gen. Julian Alford waits for the Wilson Gate and Boulevard dedication ceremony to commence aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Nov. 8. The gate and boulevard were named after General Louis H. Wilson, a World War II recipient of the Medal of Honor for his actions during the battle of Guam and the 26th Commandant of the Marine Corps. Alford is the commanding general for Marine Corps Installations East, MCB Camp Lejeune.
