A. prior to the convening of the next convention, andthat no statement of grievances shall be entertained un-less so submitted. That in future conferences any new addition to beadded to the present agreement must receive the two-thirds vote of the delegates of the conference. The agreement is for the navigation season of 1904,and also covers winter work from December 1, 1904, mi-. ll. N. Taylor, Illinois Coal Operators,lil May 1, 1905. Schedules of wages are attached as part of the agreement, marked A, li, C and IV All employes are- to be nvmbeis of the local orgauiza iii us, whenever such nu n can be had who can perform this work, as called for in the contract, When such men cannot be had, the dock managers have the rightto secure any other men who can perform the work ina satisfactory manner, until members of the union canbe secured. No man shall be discharged without justcause, and any man discharged shall be notified of thecause. The men may inspect bills of lading, to verifythe tonnage. When unusual work arises in isolatedcases not covered by this agreement, the men shall per-form such labor. The compensation shall be aeljlistedbetween the representatives of the local organizationsand the dock managers or owners. Any disagreement isto be arbitrated.
