The Brooklyn Public Library announces the opening of the Shelby White and Leon Levy Information Commons in the Central Library in Brooklyn in New York on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. The new 5500 square foot technology and creative space created in part through a $ million gift from the Leon Levy Foundation contains 70 laptop stations, 25 computer workstations equipped with video and graphic design software, 7 meeting rooms, a recording studio and a wireless learning lab.
