Afghan National Army Air Corps Mi-17 prepares to land in a landing zone at an elevation of 12,000 feet, May 22. This is the closest aircraft could land safely to get the needed supplies to conduct recovery efforts of the Pamir Airlines passenger jet that crashed, Monday, May 24. There were no survivors among the 38 passengers and 5 crew.
