From 1897 to 1902 he was a memberof the firm of Ackerman & Ross, engineersand architects, New York. Their work in-cludes the Carnegie libraries at Washington,D. C; Atlanta, Ga.; San Diego, Cal.; PortJervis, N. Y.; and the Carnegie Laboratoryof Engineering at Hoboken. In 1902 resigned from the firm, and since thenMr. Ackerman has formed a partnershipwith Mr. W. T. Partridge, under the firm 288 THE STEVENS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY name of Ackerman & Partridge. The Mor-ton Laboratory of Chemistry, illustrated onpage 17 of the present volume, is the work. W. S. Ackerman of this latter firm. Mr. Partridge, beforeassociating with Mr. Ackerman, was in-structor in architecture in Columbia Ackerman is a member of the AmericanSociety of Mechanical Engineers, the Amer-ican Institute of Mining Engineers, the En-gineers and Lotos clubs of New York; ofthe Hamilton Club, and North Jersey Coun-try Club of Paterson, N. J.; and a non-resi-dent member of the Franklin Listitute. Hewas president of the Alumni Association ofStevens Institute, 1902-03. Adams, Harry Harris (, 93), wasborn in Jersey City, N. J., January 7, graduating he entered the service ofthe Consolidated Traction Co., of JerseyCity, N.
