Sorting nutmeg. Women using baskets and tubs of water to separate seeds of the nutmeg plant (Myristica fragrans). The nutmeg seeds are placed into the tub of water. The lower- grade quality seeds float, while the better ones sink. The women scoop the nuts out of the water and place them into the appropriate basket on their left.
