Greek Mythology. Zeus of Otricoli. Marble bust. Roman copy after a Greek original from the 4th century. Restored in 1783 by Giovanni Pierantoni. He added the bust, neck and back of the head that it must originally been part of the colossal cultic statue showing Zeus seated on a throne. Pio-Clementino Museum. Vatican Museums. Vatican City.
