Thou-sands of people visit the place each summer,generally making one journey take them toboth the Rock House, only six miles distantfrom the cave. Ohio can furnish no morebeautiful scenery than is to be found in thiacounty. Rock Bridge. This natural rocky wonder is situated inGood-Hope township, Hocking county, on theHocking river, and the line of the Colum-bus, Hocking Valley and Toledo Railway,about midway between Lancaster and curiosity is a sandstone formation, theunder side forming an arch of about thirtydegrees curvature. The bridge is level# onthe top, ranges from ten to twenty feet wide,and is entirely detached from all adjoiningrock for a distance of nearly 100 feet. The. Rock House Cave. HOCKING span, measured from the under side, is about150 feet, and is at an elevation of about fiftyfeet from the bottom of the gulch it location and easy accessibility, togetherwith the romantic, wild-like place, its fine COUNTY, 217 shade and picturesque surroundings, havemade it a favorite site for picnic excursionsfrom all points along the line of the Colum-bus, Hocking Valley and Toledo Railway.
