The Committee functioned through threesub-committees—the Boarding-Out Department Committee, theCommittee on Nurses and the Housekeeping Committee. Themembers of each of these Committees visited the Hospital fre-quently and made reports on conditions as they found them intheir several Departments, at the regular monthly meetings ofthe House Committee. Various helpful suggestions were madeand acted upon. The Boarding-Out Department Committeerendered special aid to its Department by making possible asemi-annual doctors examination of the children in its care. Kitty L.
