Van 't Hoff. The emblem is derived from the municipal weapon of Hardinxveld-Giessendam, the birthplace of J. van 't Hoff (1901-1945), Sergeant-Machinist at Piet Hein (1928-1942) Van' t Hoff distinguished itself in the battle In the street badoeng on February 19, 1942, where Piet Hein was brought to sink.
