Harefield village London Borough of Hillingdon northwest Greater London, 1815
Harefield is a village in the London Borough of Hillingdon in the northwest of Greater London, England. It is situated on top of a hill, 17 miles (27 km) northwest of Charing Cross, near the Greater London boundary with Buckinghamshire to the west and Hertfordshire to the north. The area is famous for its local hospital, Harefield Hospital, where pioneering heart surgery techniques were developed. It was an ancient parish in the county of Middlesex
