Eudald Carbonell i Roura (Ribes de Freser, Gerona, February 17, 1953) is an archaeologist, anthropologist and paleontologist 1999, holds the chair of Prehistory at the University Rovira i Virgili of Tarragona and is currently Principal Investigator Group Human Autecology Quaternary of this University and Director of the Catalan Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution i (IPHES).Its most outstanding scientific achievements are the creation of a system of analyzing prehistoric technology known as "logical-analytical system" and the study of ancient settlement of the Iberian Peninsula. These lines of work have led him to develop a transdisciplinary research program in the Sierra de Atapuerca (Burgos), initially under the direction of Professor Emiliano Aguirre. Since 1991, Eudald Carbonell is one of the co-directors.
