Animal rights protesters with placards listen to speeches at start of National anti-fur march in London, Dec 2007

Three young women and one man listen to speeches at rally before anti-fur march, holding appropriate placards. Several hundred animal rights protesters took part in a march through the West End of London past expensive designer shops to Harrods in Knightsbridge against the use of fur in fashion clothes. Although fur farming is banned in the UK, it is still legal to sell fur products made from fur produced under appalling conditions in other countries. Harrods is said to be the only department store still selling fur goods.
