THE KUMERLE OR DREER'S BUSH HENDERSON'S BUSH LIMA BEAN. The illustration of the open pod, taken by permission from The Rural Aew Yorker of October 16, 1889, shows the natural size of the beans and pods. While the beans are small (being of the Sieva or Seuee type, known in the South as " butler beans"), yet they are ready for the table earlier than the Large Lima, and the little pods, growing in clusters, are plentiful. The compact, dwarf bushes are of hardy growth and very prolific, bearing continu- ously until the end of the season. Each bush generally matures from forty to eighty pods, while under extra cultivation specimen ]>lants have been raised which bore from two hundred to three hundred pods. Per package 10 cts.; per iod is shown herewith; neither pods nor brans are nearly .10 large as Bt;EPEE's Bt'sn Lima, while they are also late in maturing. After thorough trials for four years at Fordhook, we find the serious objection to this Bush Lima is that it is not upright in growth, but very much inclined to spread, .sending out strong later- als, which lie flat ufion the ground. The pods are heavy and thick, set well under the leaves, which, together with the fact that so many of the branches lie flat on the ground, makes them inclined to mildew and rot; for this reason, and from the fact that it is late in bearing, it should have the advantage oran early, rich, sandy soil. Per pkt. 10 cts.; pint 40 cts.; quart 75 cts. BURPEE'S BUSH LIMA. Never before in the history of the -seed trade has any variety creatc<i such a profound sensation as this, "the most remarkable of New Vegetables;" the only bush-form of the TRUE delicious brge Lima. It ^ ^ is pronounced by all good judges as unque';- /\AO\ tionably the rk\l Bush Lima, distinct and I WjJ superior in every way—
