Futuroscope Pavillon and statues. Futuroscope is a science and technology theme park in Poitiers, France. This is the Futuroscope Pavillon, that is the symbol of the park. It houses a series of exhibits on futuristic technologies and games. Futuroscope has several buildings of unusual shape and design. It opened in 1987. The statues in the foreground (showing people flying kites) are examples of the art of French sculptor Jean-Louis Toutain (1948-2008). Photographed in 2012.
