It is a wonderfully free-blooming plant, commencing to flower as soon as born. It is raised from divisions; also from the seed, though the latter method Is nnadvisable owing to the uncertain and variable character of the seedlings. It forms a dense ro- sette of somewhat fleshy leaves, from which spring the flowering stems, twelve, fifteen and even twenty inches tall, supporting three tiers or whorls ©f dainty flowers of a delicate rosy- lilac, with eye of pale gold. The flow- ers are not more than half an inch in diameter, but they are produced in such great abundance that a few plants presents a dense mass of bloom, which continues without in- terruption and with increasing vigor from Septem- ber until June. The plant then is benefited by a rest; and, having now formed a den^e clump, it is desirable that it be divided and the stock increased thereby, each plant making t n to twelve divisions. As a pot plant it cannot be surpassed. We would advise all our customers to give it a trial; we are confident that its dainty flowers will more than repay you for the expense and trouble.
