GRACE Follow-On satellite launch, 2018. Joint NASA-German GRACE Follow-On spacecraft launching on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 4E, Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, USA. This mission (a follow-up to the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment mission) will measure changes in how mass is redistributed within and between Earth's atmosphere, oceans, land and ice sheets. Also on board were five Iridium NEXT communications satellites. Photographed on 22 May 2018.
