170116-N-BL637-195 PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 16, 2017) An F/A-18F Super Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 2 “Bounty Hunters” makes an arrested cable landing on the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) flight deck. Carl Vinson is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group as part of the Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of 3rd Fleet into the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
