House Extension, Brondesbury Park. Architect: Tectus

Modifications to a large Edwardian House created an opportunity to open up and connect the ground floor directly onto a large mature garden. Designed in a strongly contemporary idiom, but referenced back to the modulations and colour of the existing building, the black Reynobond clad extension features a twelve metre long frameless double-glazed wall. Steps in the roof profile and roof glazing relate to the elevation and create generous and varied lighting conditions to the living spaces of white plaster walls and ceilings, oak floors, and walnut furniture.
