The goddess Aphrodite holding a mirror decorated with the head of Medusa on the outside, which she has taken from an open an box on the nearby table. A pair of doves - symbol of love and fidelity - is depicted on a parapet above the table. Aphrodite's naked body was covered with a dress during Christian times. c. 2nd Century AD. from the floor mosaic of a Roman villa located at Psila Alonia Square in Patras, Greece.
