Poitiers (86) on 2010/04/03 : demonstration of women, cattle breeders and wifes of milk producers

A demonstration organized on saturday in Poitiers (86) by the "Association des producteurs de lait indépendants or APLI" (association of French self-employed milk producers) gathered 400 women, cattle breeders and wifes of milk producers, from all over France with their children to make people aware of the agricultural malaise. Ségolène Royal, president of the Poitou-Charentes region, was here to support them. It's the first demonstration gathering women and children belonging to the association. Pulling milk cans behind them, walking behind the streamer "Prix du lait à 40 centimes" (40 cts, remunerative price for the milk they produced), most of them holding crosses in their hands on which is written "Non au libéralisme" (No Liberalism). 2010/04/03
