We are all such individuals, from different commands and different nationalities, and yet we are able to come together in good spirit and comradery and help each other evolve.” Petersen’s role at RIMPAC centers around Mine Warfare Operations and planning RIMPAC fleet exercises. “I joined the Navy because I wanted a better education in leadership and management,” said Petersen. “I wanted to learn in a more hands-on environment. What I love most about being a leader in the Navy is that your people are what determine your success and achievements, not just books and a piece of paper.” ( Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Jeff Troutman)
