Palazzo Doria Tursi was built from 1565 by Domenico and Giovanni Ponsello for Niccolò Grimaldi and represents the culmination of the residential splendour of the Genoese aristocracy. In 2006 it was included in the list of the 42 buildings registered with the Rolli of Genoa, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
