We clamber over the big rocks, however, to survey amass of ruins known by the ominous name of the BlackChambers. The walls and ceilings are here completelycoated with black gypsum. We find that the funerealdarkness defies magnesium, and refuses to be cheered evenby red fire. Crossing to the right hand side from these baronialruins, we ascend through the Big Chimneys to an upperlevel, and, as we proceed, we hear the sound of a water-fall, which
