The operation led to the arrest of a Taliban leader that is believed to be responsible for multiple insurgent operations throughout northern Kandahar against Afghan and coalition forces. He allegedly has significant experience constructing improvised explosive devices, and has directed his subordinates to use his IEDs in insurgency operations. The security force also seized one AK-47 and one shotgun as a result of the operation.
