PLOUGHS. PROUTY AND MEARS' CELEBRATED CENTER DRAUGHT PLOUGHS.—Those Ploughs are recommended with the greatest confidence to the favorable notice of the public, as com- bining more of the essential qualities of a good plough, than any other which has yet been brought out. I5y having adapted to them, the admirable principle of Center Draught, whereby the line of draught is through the center of the plough, it receives the resistance of the furrow slice equally on both sides, causing it to land properly and keep its true position with a straight, regular and steady motion. The materials and workmanship of these ploughs are of the very best quality ; the wings, landsides and points, being chill-hardened; the points are also on the self-sharpening principle. These ploughs have received a greater number of valuable premiums than any other yet offered in this country, and are of deservedly high SELF-SHARPENING PLOUGH.—These ploughs have a revers- ing, self-sharpening, double point and share ; turn a furrow about twelve inches deep by sixteen inches wide; are not liable to choke ; and are equal the culture of the strongest soil, at an expense for repairs scarcely to amounting to one cent per Please note that these images are extracted from scanned page images that may have been digitally enhanced for readability - coloration and appearance of these illustrations may not perfectly resemble the original G.
