Hemore than once represented his church in Synod and was also amember of the General Assembly. In the memorial year (thoughhis miss onary son was sleeping in the soil of the Dark Conti-nent) he gave a large thank offering to the Lord for the privilegeof having had a son in the Foreign Mission work.
