Has a tenth band, moveable half way up on each fide ;The fhell on the flioulders and rump is marked with hex-angular figures ; the breaft and belly are covered withlong hairs; its tail is long and taper; and the whole ani-mal three feet in length. One of this kind was brought to England a few yearsago from the Mufquito fliore, and lived fome time. Itwas fed with raw beef and milk, but refufed to eat ou^fruits and grain.
