Sinusitis

This axial (cross sectional) T2 weighted MRI image of the brain in a person complaining of bad headaches shows extensive opacification (looks white) of the sphenoid sinus representing sinusitis. This can cause severe headaches. Sinusitis is one of the most common findings on MRI studies of the brain performed for a variety of conditions.
