McDougall Centre in downtown Calgary, Alberta serves as a provincial government office and meeting space. It was designated a historic resource after opening its doors to students in 1907. Completed in 1907, Calgary's McDougall School was the location of Alberta's first normal school. These schools where used for the training of Alberta teachers until 1945.
