Pattison, of West Haven, in town last week, after reading his death notice in a contemporary recently. The false statement was caused by a local under- taker, who also sells flowers, sending his wagon to Mr. Pattison's greenhouses for some stock; the reporter jumped to a wrong conclusion. Mrs. Pattison reports having received a number of letters of sympathy from out-of-town friends. Recent visitors: David Beach, Bridge- port, Conn.; Jas. W.
