There were also a large battle-axe, o • 23 m. long, whichI give here under No. 81, and the lower part of a curious object of copper in the form of a seal, onwhich however no engraved sign is visible. Further, threesmall but well-preserved knives of bronze, of which Irepresent one under No. 82; a bronze dagger, preciselysimilar to that found in the temple A, and representedbefore under No. 34, but rolled up in the conflagration,. No. 83.—Ring ul VI vjjjpcr. 81262:3;depth 9 m. SO that it forms nearly a circle, like the dagger No. 813,p. 482, in Ilios. The treasure further contained a bronzelance of the usual Trojan form, such as I have representedunder No. ^i})-) ^^*^ ^ most curious ring of bronze or copper,which I represent under No. 83. It is of the size of ournapkin rings, but rather thick and therefore very heavy;it is 0,045 JT^ni- broad and 0,068 mm. in diameter; rt hasfive compartments, each ornamented with a cross.
