The FARO Focus3D is the smallest and lightest 3D laser scanner on the market. It offers the most efficient method for 3D surveying of objects and buildings 3D Surveying. The Focus3D X 330 can scan large and distant objects up to 330 meters away and in direct sunlight. With its integrated GPS receiver, the laser scanner is able to correlate individual scans in post-processing making it ideal for surveying based applications. Laser Scanners are non-contact devices used to gather 3D digital data from a variety of objects. A beam of light passes over the object while a camera mounted inside the scanner records the position of the laser. This 3D data is then transferred to the computer and the image is "drawn" in 3D on the screen.
