Increase is readily obtained by cuttings, and perhaps by seeds. It may probablyprove of some service to the hybridist, in improving the colour of the crimson-flowered kinds. In the Botanical Register, it is stated, that the berry, in the wildstate, is from one to one and a half inches long, and pleasant to the taste. TheGuatemalese call it Melocotoncito, and apparently eat it. Messrs.
