Laterhe entered the Medical Departmentof Washington University, gradu-ating in April, 1898. Very soon af-ter his graduation Dr. Hays locatedin his native city, engaging in ageneral practice of medicine, whichhas since proven quite remunera-tive. At present Dr. Hays is the CityPhysician of Hannibal, as well asPresident of the Board of the latter capacity Dr. Hays waslargely instrumental in improvingthe sanitary conditions of Hannibalby giving it what its citizens face-tiously refer to as a thoroughwhitewashing. In public life, as well as in his pri-vate practice, Dr. Hays has alwaysthoroughly di_2rnosed each case that. came to his attention, and has thenshown what a good physician he isby applying the proper remedies. FEANK L. HEXDERSON. Frank L. Henderson was born inSt. Louis, Mo., March 18, 1865. Hewas educated at the University ofMissouri and the Missouri MedicalCollege, graduating from the latterMarch 8, 1888. For over a year heserved as an acting assistant surgeonin the regular army, and then wentto Europe for post-graduate instruc-tion. Upon his return he enteredthe service of the Great NorthernRailway as division surgeon, and MEDICINE AND SURGERY. 269
