GULF OF ADEN (Dec. 11, 2016) Vice Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Bill Moran speaks to Sailors and Marines aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) during an all hands call on the flight deck. Moran visited Makin Island during the ship’s deployment to the 5th Fleet area of operations to commend the crew on their accomplishments, answer questions and discuss expectations for the remainder of their deployment.
