Lord Rollo tells me that MrPitcairn is said to have purchased the estate on accountof its name, although he may have been unaware of the factthat it did belong to Pitcairns in bygone times. The shoot-ing extends to about 3000 acres, and there is good fishingin Dunning Burn.
