Behind the dining room, facing , is the stone parlor,which has a fine stucco ceiling, and a fireplace of richWestmorland marble, procured upon Mr. Stricklandsestate, near Hawes Bridge. It also contains a few paint-ings, principally of horses. The floor is paved with blackand v/hite stone in diamond pattern.
