Grand Canyon National Park Tusayan Parking Area During the month of September, 2012, a parking area opened just north of the gateway community of Tusayan, Arizona on Kaibab National Forest land. The parking area's 100 new spaces serve as parking for the new Tusayan Greenway; additional parking for the seasonal, park-and-ride Tusayan shuttle; and as a trailhead for the Arizona Trail which stretches more than 800 miles from Mexico to the Utah border and shares miles of the Tusayan Greenway.
