Under strictly security measures held the solemn Blessing at St. Demetrius Church in Thessaloniki for the feast of the patron Saint Demetrius and the historical Anniversary of the Liberation of Thessaloniki and 28 October. In the ceremony was attended the President of Greece Karolos Papoulias and the Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.
