Welford Park close to Newbury is open annually for this amazing display of snowdrops.

Welford House and Park near Newbury Berkshire is a private residence which opens its doors to visitors during three weeks in February annually to show off its snowdrop wood. Snowdrops grow in chalky soil. The growth is so thick in the wood that it gives the impression that the floor is carpeted in white. Historically the house was used by Henry VIII as a hunting lodge. Welford Park is built on the site of a monastic grange that belonged to Abingdon Abbey from Anglo-Saxon times.
