Percy Throwers old house Demolished
The late Percy Thrower MBE (30 January 1913 Ð 18 March 1988) a Gardener's World & Blue Peter gardener, former home 'The Magnolias, Merrington, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, is being demolised because of structural damage due to the failure of the foundations. The 1960's property, in one and half acres, became famous as the location for some of the episodes of Gardeners' World which Mr Thrower presented in the 1970's. His Daughter now lives there.
