If abandage be applied, and worn for afew hours after the plaster is firstput on, sufficient adhesion of thelatter will be secured if properplaster is used. {(l) If the patient be allowed toroll about in bed, or sit up, or tohold the limb flexed at the knee, itis manifest that no proper distract-ing force is used.
