The Church of Saint Nicholas is Prague's finest Baroque building and is topped by a huge green cupola. It was begun by famous Bavarian architect Kristof Dientzenhofer and continued by his son Kilian. The church boasts Europe's largest fresco, Johann Kracker's 1770 Apotheosis of St Nicholas, on its ceiling.
