One of two "true domes" at the Masjed-e Jame in Esfahan, the oldest Friday (congregational) mosque in Iran. The mosque is a good example of the evolution of Iranian Islamic mosque architecture over twelve centuries, starting in AD 841. It is a UNESCO World Heritage listed monument.
